Happy Holidays!!!

Happy holidays to everyone.

Our company gave us a bonus break from December 20 until January 5 with pay so i'll be on a hiatus mode for a while. Be back next year.

Family Day

My mother in law visited us again. And we then decided to go to Star City.

We had the ride all you can tickets, pero di rin masyado nakapag rides si Seandy kasi mahaba ang mga pila.

He liked the bump car so much. Ayoko nga sana kasi I’m afraid. Feeling ko eh masasaktan siya pag binangga siya ng ibang kids.

I never really liked that. The last time I tried that I remember I was closing my eyes with my hands. How can I drive kung nakapikit ako. Di ko talaga maenjoy yun.

Ayoko nga sanang payagan si Seandy, pero sabi ni Daddy, okay lang daw yun, lagi niya akong sinasabihan ng super paranoid ko daw. Para daw lagi akong nasa “Final Destination” na everytime eh may masamang mangyayari.

Ganun talaga ang mga mommies di ba? Laging my na fo-foresee na possibleng may mangyari. Sabi ko nga it’s better to be safe than sorry.

We went inside din sa Snow World. It was cool! As in! Super cold sa loob. It’s at 15 degrees Celsius.

Kaya lang I was disappointed kasi the jackets were not that thick and it stinks!

You can have globes pero you have to buy it. You can’t take pictures din inside you have to ask their photographer to take your picture for 100 pesos or 150 pesos if you like it CD.

We went inside pero I think di man lang kami umabot ng 5 minutes. Sobrang lamig kasi. Di ko talaga kinaya. Sean and Seandy tried yung slide. Ako din ng slide pero accidentally. Kakatakbo ko, ayun I fell. Pero sa sobrang lamig (at kahihiyan na rin siguro) di ko naramdaman yung sakit. Nung pauwi na kami dun ko lang naramdaman ang sakit ng balakang at ng butt ko.

Nanay went to Dino Island with Uncle Ricky and Ganda, pero kami di na, Seandy was so afraid kasi. He loves dinosaurs naman.

I asked him kung bakit ayaw niya pumasok eh love naman niya ang dinosaurs, sabi ni “ Mommy, I like sa DVD lang.”

We went na lang sa Dino souvenir shop to look for the Dino toys. The Sales ladies inside naman were so fond of Seandy. They were asking him kasi kung ano ang mga names nung Dinosaurs.

Amazed naman sa kanya ang mga girls dahil sila nga daw eh di nila kilala ang mga paninda nila. Well, Seandy recognized the Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Pteranodon, T-rex, pero yung iba di na niya kilala. Yung iba name na lang ng characters ng Land before Time ang sinasabi niya.

We all had fun. Sobrang late na ng umuwi kami pagod na pagod kaming lahat. Pero it was worth it, sumasakit nga lang talaga ang katawan ko.

My Grown up Christmas List

Christmas is so near and people are talking about gifts and wish lists. Here is mine:



But please let us not forget the Reason for this season - our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I went to church earlier and then head off to my office afterwards.

I was at the entrance of our building when I heard the Security guards talking about the Pacquiao - De la Hoya fight. It's good to hear that Manny won that fight.

While blog hopping I have noticed that some blogs already posted about the match, so I did not bother blogging about it.

But then, another news came up. I have heard from my officemate that a young tv star, Marky Cielo, Starstruck's Ultimate Male Survivor just died. The cause of his death is still unknown, but he was found dead on his bed. He was just 20 years old. I have seen him on TV before and I know he can act and dance very well. And how about the story of Leafil Alforque who was Swept to Sea During Proposal on Oregon Coast?

These news made me sad. It all tells us what life is all about. Just like what the scriptures says in James 4:14 :

"Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away."

Life is short. Let us all make a difference. Let us start seeking God and search the God that Is not the just the God that we want - before all is too late.

I am just sad since our schedule was changed and I had to go to work tonight and won't be able to be home tomorrow morning to prepare my kid for school.

For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to review my 4 year old son, Adie, for their forth coming exam on November 27 and 28. He is now in Nursery.

I had to make sure that the review is fun. I have been making reviewers for him to answer, and I also incorporate it to our games and time together so he wont be pressured so much.

The examination will start at 8:00 am and that is the only time my shift will end. While here in the office, I texted my husband to review Adie again for the last time.

I also told him to read him Jeremiah 33:3. That is my favorite text in the Bible during my college years. Whenever we have examination, that is the bible verse that I chant before the start of every exam.

It worked well for me!

I like to move it, move it...

Adie loves watching Madagascar (1) DVD and enjoys the game on it as well. So when Madagascar 2 was shown I know we had to watch it too.

We also love collecting these toys characters and we were just glad McDonalds premium of the month were the stars of Madagascar. I have bought 7 of them, butI still lack one. I do not have Marty yet.

Yesterday, I have asked my office mate Marky to check if the McDonalds in their place still have Marty since the Mcdo in our area no longer have Marty. I kept on telling him, “Please check Marty the Zebra ha”. Again and again and again. He then told me, “Ang kulit ni mommy. Oo nga hanapin ko si Marty, yung Zebra.”

He left. After an hour he texted me, “Mommy, la na daw po silang Melman.”

Hehehe…he really made my day. :)

Congratulations to my newly wed friends.

I was so excited to wake up last Saturday morning. Two of my friends were married on that day. I was invited to attend both weddings. Although it was hard since both weddings were set on the same date plus they were scheduled at the same time.

I am just glad we were able to attend both weddings.

My husband’s friend came to our house earlier together with his wife and their daughter Teekie (pronounced as TK). After they left, hubby asked me, “Do you know why their daughter’s name is TK?” I said no. He said “They used to work in Toy Kingdom and that’s where they met. This made them decide to name their kid Teekie.”

He then told me, “We should have named Adie (Sean Deanniel) “JB” for Jollibee, that is where I met my husband. I then added jokingly, “Then we should have named Andie (Mathea Deanne), “BB” for Boracay Beach, because that is where she was made. LOL.

Forgive but not forget?

I was cleaning up my email last night and I have found and re read some emails that made me sad again. Those were the emails from my “hacker”. It has been quite a while now and I am just glad it has stopped.

While reading the emails I still can’t believe that it has happened. I am still hurt. I have already forgiven that person but I still cannot forget what has been done. How can you forget something that has caused you so much pain? That has caused you trouble? I no more hold grudges against that person. And I have accepted the fact that we can never be friends again – well, maybe someday. I guess I can forgive but still cannot forget.

Can you really forgive and forget?

The name game

I was tagged by Mommy Maicel and asked how I came up with the names of my kids.

SEAN DEANNIEL

My husband’s name is Sean. I love that name and he wants to have his first son named after him so that’s were we got Sean. I wanted it to be biblical as well. I love Daniel but I changed the spelling to Deanniel.

MATHEA DEANNE

Since our second child’s a girl, hubby wants it to be named after me or at least have the first letter “M” as well. I looked online and found Mathea which means Gift from God and I did not want Deanniel to be removed but I changed it to Deanne to make it feminine.

Duplicate Account

I was blog hopping the other day and I found a blog that say he found a person that has 3 personal blogs but the entries are all the same. It made me smile, I do not know if he was referring to me.

I have 3 blogs. My first blog contains lyrics of my favorite songs. It was the first my first blog. I do not want to write anything on my blog then, so I just decided to just put in the lyrics of my favorite songs.

Then, I have decided I would want to start writing things about anything. My wordpress blog was my second blog. But I find it easier to blog using blogger so I decided to open this blog and make this a mirror blog.

A Perfect Wife

Ephesians 5:21-5:33

Being submissive to my husband has always been my problem since I got married. I know that I should submit to my husband since this is what the Lord commanded me as a wife.

I have a strong personality and I am stubborn. Sean does not want any conflict so he would often times just give in to my wishes.

Sean and I had a very interesting past. We worked at the same company and he was my subordinate before which makes it harder for me to submit.

But I love Christ and I know that it is wrong for me to continue disobeying His commands. And I also love my husband.

I have been praying about it. I read and reread Ephesians 5 to remind me every now and then that this is the will of the Lord.

God’s ways are perfect. I believe that He allowed me to find the Wives’ Biblical Submission online. I am still on the process of practicing the things that I am learning in that study. Little by little I know I will be able to learn to submit with all of my heart.

I love my husband and I know that God will equip me to become the wife that He wants me to become. God is not yet finished with me. I will not give up for I know that God will not give up on me too.

Remembering the dead

It’s November once again and this is the time when we remember our dead loved ones. I cannot forget my grandmother (mother of my mama). My Nana, that is what we call her, died last December 2002. And I still miss her. Sometimes I still wish she is here. I miss talking to her, kissing her, hugging her, looking at her, holding her. She was so beautiful inside and out.

There was even a time when I was still a Manager at Jollibee. Months after she died, an old lady came to buy food. The cashier called me for approval since she was a senior citizen. I had to ask for her ID and get all the information. When I handed her over her ID I noticed her hands. It was exactly like my Nana’s hands. I looked at her and went back immediately inside the office. I did not want anybody to see me crying. Our Area Manager was there at that time and she saw me crying. I told her I saw my Nana’s hands. I was still trembling and she gave me a hug to assure me that everything will be okay.

It has been six years now but her memories are still alive in my heart and mind. Too bad she was not able to see her “apo sa tuhod” in me.

I love you Nana, I will just look forward for our reunion when my time comes.

A Wife's Bibilical Submission

I am relatively new to blogging. I am really not concern much about earning from blogging though I have heard that it really pays well.

What I just want is a venue where I can write about everything under the sun.

Bad company

To those people who are looking for work abroad please be careful not to be swindled by illegal recruiter. Sad thing is even those recruitment agencies who are under the list of the licensed agencies from POEA are still taking advantage of those people who are desperate to work abroad.

One example of a lousy company is the ARIX WORLD MANPOWER CORPORATION.

My husband applied as a “Barista” for Old Towm Kopitiam in Malaysia last year. We paid the agency Php 52,000.00. It was supposed to be a 2 year contract but he did not continue it, and he went back after 3 months.

They have violated a lot of rules when it comes to hiring OFWs. We have already filed a complaint against them to the National Labor Relations Commission.

Ang Lighter

Seandy’s in nursery now and they had just finished their first quarter evaluation. I did not expect much from my son, but of course I hope that the result was good. It took a while before we got the result of the exam. Finally, the results came last Monday.

The results was great: Wika: 100%, Reading: 99%, Language: 98%, Math 97% and writing: 92% . Average of 97.2% and guess what? He is the top of the class! Second to him is my niece Rumelyn, who got 96.4% average.

Congratulations my son and to Rumelyn. Great job!

Filipina Image

I was blog hopping the other day. I came across the story of the “infamous” foreigner who met a Filipina. Hooked up with her got her pregnant and then went back to his country and then accused the whole Philippines of scamming him.

I have heard of this story before when I was still in my maternity leave.
It took me a while before I finished reading the stories from one blog to another. But I was not lucky enough to read the official blog of the guy since it was changed to invitational only.

I have read a lot of comments, reactions, insults and accusations. I pity the girl. Being a mom myself I know how painful it is to lose a child. Plus the pain of knowing that the person whom who trust no longer trust you back.

But I cannot blame the guy. He may look like a paranoid but to some point he was just cautious about things. Well he mentioned that someone already tried to scam him through friendster. Unless he was just fabricating all the stories, he made mentioned about the money that he spent when he was here in our country, he food for the family and for the barangay, the cellphone. He also mentioned that he sent money to the girl in the past.

The thing is, the girl should not have asked for anything from the guy when he was here in the Philippines. People will really think that she is only after his money. Be it a local or a foreigner, the rule of thumb is never ask a guy to buy you stuff, unless the guy asked you what you want and offered to buy it for you. Of course, it is different when you are talking about husbands and wives.

Good thing the girl learned her lessons. Sad thing is - in a hard way.

My mother in law visited us for a week. She left yesterday for Aklan.

It was fun. She was so excited to visit us. It was the first time she saw her granddaughter.

She left with a smiling face, but a heavy heart. She told me she will be missing the kids so much.

She wanted to stay longer, but she has to take care of their business in Aklan.

But it’s okay; they will be coming back this December and hopefully stay for the holidays.

Adie is 4 years old and he likes to draw a lot. I asked him to draw us once and here it is. He said that was him, her baby sister Andie, Me, and his Dad.

He is now in nursery and his first evaluation exam was last September 24 – 26. It was funny since both I and my sister were so excited about it. My sister's daughter, Rumelyn , was also in nursery, they were classmates. She said she felt like her daughter will take a bar exam. She even told her daughter they will buy her a doll house if she has perfect scores. I told her I was not pressuring my son so much.

For now I just wanted him to enjoy and have fun. We have not gotten the result yet. Hopefully the result will be good.

Catch Me I'm Fallin for You

I have been fascinated with Korea Nobelas and movies lately ( I like the Korean versions with subtitles than the "Tagalized" versions). And I have watched quite a few. I really liked " Which Star are you from". It stars Jeong Ryeo-Won and Kim Rae-Won.


Here is the plot. Choi Seung-Hee is a film director who met the girl of his dreams, Hye-su. They have decided to get married despite the fact that Hye-su's mother does not like him. But before they were married they met an accident and the girl died. He was so depressed he decided to live in reclusion for three years.

When he came back to start working again he saw a woman who looked exactly like Hye-su. Her name is Kim Bok-shil, she looks like her but they are also opposite in many ways. Kim Bok-shil was offered a job in the film company where Choi Seung-Hee was also working.

It was then discovered the Kim Bok-shil is the long lost sister of Hye-su. Choi Seung-Hee tried so hard to fight the feelings that he has for Kim Bok-shil thinking that he was just seeing Hye-su in her. But finally realized that he was really in love with her.

Kim Bok-shil fell in love for the first time and it was with Director Choi Seung-Hee. It was hard for her as well since her mother is still mad at Choi Seung-Hee, blaming him for the death of Hye-su.

A modern Romeo and Juliet, without the tragic end, they fought for their love even if the whole world disapproved.

Catch Me I’m Fallin for You was the theme song of this Korea Nobela when it was aired here in the Philippines.

Would you come back?

It was in the year 1997 when a stranger came to our house. She said she was looking for Jocy’s house. We don't know her and she said that she only recognized us because she have seen us in church. We told her we can help her to find the house of our friend and she initiated that our friend doesn't know her as well.

She was pregnant and she told us that all she wants is some assistance since her son was in the hospital and needs an operation due to hydrocephalus. She said they were expecting some money to arrive any time next week but they just needed the money now. We can’t help but pity her.

We offered to help. Each gave money for her. My best friend also arrived to visit me and I told him about the stranger. He was reluctant and said it could just be some "raket' or something but since he is really an angel, he also opted to help.

We gave the woman all the money that we have collected. She said she will come back after a week to update us about his son’s operation and to pay us for the money that we lend her.

We have waited for her to arrive. We have waited not for the money but for the good news about her son. And at least to spare us from thinking that she was just making things up and it was really a 'raket!"

But she never arrived. We don't know what happened to her son. Some of us thought that it was indeed a raket, though some remained faithful and gave excuses why she didn't come back.

Whenever I remembered this story I can't help but remember "Christianity”. The most important thing about the life of Christ here on earth was when he was resurrected from the dead; because it was when all the rumors, all the doubts about Jesus' death ended. It was the confirmation that all that was promised was fulfilled. If Jesus did not come back to life, our faith is useless.


Jesus saved us! That is the truth!

September my Friendship month

September has been a great month for me. I can say it has been my Friendship month.

I had a chance to bond with my old friends. First, me and my high school friends had a reunion, September 06, 2008. The pictures I have already posted on my previous post.

Then, last Sunday , Sept. 14, 2008 one of college friends, Marie, had her baby baptized. I and my other friends in college were also invited.
