Technology works wonder now a days. I get to contact my friends and love ones in other parts of the world anytime. We can chat, email, call. I get to see them and they get to see me via webcam. It’s like they are just near.
But for those people who want to go abroad, I was surprised to know that there are job interviews that are done via webcam. The webcam interview may be set by the agency. It can be done in the office or you can be interviewed at the comfort of your own home or if you do not have an internet you can just go to a computer shop and be ready for the interview.
Cool. No need for agencies here in the Philippines to spend lots of money in a hotel for accommodations or food for the employer. It can really save time and money.
Good thing for those applicants since the pressure is less because they will not have to face the employer personally. The only thing they need to work on is how to look good in the camera and sound good over the phone, of course the employer will also check how you look and may ask you to stand to see how you look from head to toe, so it is important that you wear business attire too much like in a real personal interview.
