Unborn babies

” I felt guilty but I thought it was better than having another child that will only suffer because we have no food,” a woman said in an interview in a slum on the outskirts of Manila after having an abortion. The rate of abortion has increase here in the Philippines according to the recent surveys. It is already twice as high in Europe they say, but of course abortion is legal and easily accessible there.

Whenever I hear stories of abortion my heart is shattered. I can’t imagine how they can do things like that. I know they have reasons of their own, but I still could not think of a reason valid enough to merit abortion. Though there are cases when the child has to be removed to save the mother’s life.

One article note: “LONDON, February 1, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Seriously disabled children should be considered non-persons and would be better off having been aborted, according to a Peer speaking in the House of Lords Tuesday. Attempting to couch her assertion in terms of children’s “rights”, Molly Baroness Meacher told the Lords that children born with severe disabilities are “not viable people”.

It’s actually them that I pity, not the child that they abort. Sure these kids were already taken away the right to be born, but they are all in heaven anyways - a better place for them to stay. But the parents are still here on earth alive and being eaten by the guilt of what they did for the rest of their lives.

The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between. - Mother Teresa
